This is an internal function of viewDistance. It handles increasing / decreasing the viewdistance by using a hotkey.

This function is activated with configurable keybinds found in CBA: "Addon Keybinds" >> "CMF: viewdistance". By default increase is bound to CTRL + ] and decrease is bound to CTRL + [
