Basic medical

Our modpack uses a combination of ACE advance medical and KAT modules. This means that you can suffer different types of injuries.

As a non-medic, you cannot fully heal someone or yourself, so you will need him at some point to get fully healed. However, there’s plenty you can do escape death but it requires basic knowledge and understanding of the different medical items at your disposal.

Basic medical supplies

Tourniquet

A tourniquet is used to stop the blood flow from a limb. It used when you get shot in a limb, so you don’t bleed out. Once placed, they should not be removed until the injury has been treated. However, they will cause if applied for too long.

Elastic bandage

Used to reduce bleeding anywhere on the body. It is very basic and rather efficient; however, it has a tendency to fall off one’s body.

Packing bandage

Packing bandages are used to fill up wound cavities and stop bleeding. They are best used on wounds in the abdomen and larger wounds on the limbs. They will not work on scratches or crushed up body parts.

Quick Clot bandage

Quick Clot is a packing bandage with a hemostatic agent (Substance that makes the blood coagulate), it’s very similar to packing bandages but more efficient to stop bleeding. That hemostatic agent makes it also make it good for smaller superficial wounds like scratches.

Splint

Splints are used to immobilize a limb with a broken bone. In our mudpack, this will “fix” said broken bone.

Morphine injector

Morphine is a substance used to lower felt pain. The cost of that substance it’s that it lowers your heartrate. If your heart rate gets too low, you will faint and pass out. If you hear heartbeat noises, call it out since it is a sign that you might pass out.

Epinephrine injector

Epinephrine raises heartrate, it will get you back up if you’re down with a low heartrate. It can also prevent you from passing out, if you hear your own heartbeat in game.

Chest seal

Chest seals are a dressing used in case of a gunshot wound to the chest. When hit in the chest area, your lungs will get perforated. This will stop the bleeding outside while preventing your lungs from filling up with blood. A sign of pneumothorax (perforated kung) is audible heavy breathing. When you are that, it’s a sign that you need to apply one.

Guedel tube

It is a green tube that gets put in someone’s nose to clear up their airways if there is an occlusion. It is used when someone is down and when their airways are obstructed.
